Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and providing valuable insights during the bidding process. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and align with the company's financial goals. Key Responsibilities - Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. - Prepare estimates for ground-up construction, tenant improvements, and various commercial projects including hospitality, healthcare, and industrial sectors. - Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and constraints. - Review and evaluate subcontractor bids, ensuring that all potential costs are accounted for in estimates. - Conduct site visits to gather data for estimating purposes and verify potential changes in scope. - Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and reliable service. - Prepare and present detailed estimates and reports to management and stakeholders. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator in the commercial construction industry. - Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes. - Proficiency in estimating software and tools. - Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. - Strong communication and negotiation skills.
