Job Description Job Description Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily front desk operations ensuring phones, guests, and communications are handled promptly and professionally Ensure visitors and guests are greeted warmly and escorted appropriately Maintain a clean, organized, and fully functional front desk and lobby area Check students, parents, and volunteers in and out daily, including managing tardy arrivals and early dismissals Participate in fire and emergency drills Awareness of people entering the lobby, and monitoring safety via cameras Communicate effectively with parents and relay messages accurately Sign contractors and volunteers in using Navigate 360 and manage key distribution logs Collect incoming mail and hand deliver to the Development Department Maintain and manage the master campus calendar, including scheduling meeting spaces such as the Hobbs Center and Conference Room Assist walk-in guests by answering questions and providing directions Maintain and strengthen the foundation of Urban Youth Impact's Volunteer Program Recruit volunteers for programs, outreach opportunities, community events, and fundraising initiatives Manage volunteer onboarding including background checks, intake processing, and orientation Provide volunteer training including program overviews, cultural sensitivity, and discipline procedures Maintain and update volunteer database Foster volunteer engagement through consistent communication, appreciation events, recognition efforts, and relational connection Coordinate and administer PBA Work-Study student intake and scheduling The role is successful when the front desk operations consistently run smoothly, professionally, and efficiently and all students, volunteers, guests, and parents experience a welcoming and organized environment. Phones are answered promptly and communications are handled effectively. The campus master calendar is maintained accurately with no scheduling conflict Volunteer recruitment numbers are consistently meeting program and event needs, with strong volunteer retention rates year over year and positive feedback from volunteer satisfaction surveys. The volunteer database is maintained accurately and consistently updated. We are looking for someone who has strong relational and interpersonal skills with a warm and inviting personality. Other key traits include security consciousness ability to multi-task, and work independently with minimal supervision. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of relevant administrative, volunteer coordination, or customer service experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with youth and adults. Strong organizational and database management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to pass background screening requirements. Alignment with urban youth impact's mission and values and understands UYI is a faith-based organization.
